Plantation

Plantation is called for the activities of growing cash crops such as tea, coffee, cotton, rubber, tobacco on large scale. Plantation is done usually in big farm covering large plot of land. Lot of capital investment is required to start a plantation farming. So during the initial industrial era of the 17th - 20th centuries plantation was often refereed to as estate. Yet these days the term estate is still used but in rare cases.
